Kamahi produces masses of creamy flowers in late spring/early Summer. The honey is strongly flavoured with a hint of malt.
It is quite common around the Central North Island and is the dominant tree around Mount Taranaki but also grows all the way down to Stewart Island.
Latin name is Weinmannia racemosa.
Packed in a 500 gram screw top glass jar.
Our honey honey will crystalise over time so if it is too hard to get out of the jar we recommend sitting the whole closed jar in warm water until the honey is runny once again.
